Why Visit the Island of Skye in Scotland?
Scotland’s Most Stunning Island
We’ve heard it time and again, the Isle of Skye is breathtaking, and often quite emotional for a lot of visitors. The incredible expanses of scenery, jagged rock formations & rugged beauty of the stops on tour will stay with you forever.
Portree
You’ll be hard pressed to find a more strikingly colourful town in Scotland (although Tobermory is a strong contender). Portree will be your resting stop for the nights spent on the island and walking the towns streets will be a unique experience in itself.
Dunvegan Castle
600 years of Clan MacLeod history! It’s still inhabited to this day and is a top castle to visit on your trip to Scotland. You can stroll the beautiful gardens or explore the historical heir looms within the castle walls.
Fairies Abound
The Isle of Skye is awash in accounts and tales of the Fae. Dunk your head at Sligachan Bridge to obtain their boons - only remember to keep it there for 10 seconds! Hear stories from coast to coast of history & fables.
