What a wonderful tour you’re choosing. The Stirling Castle, Kelpies, Loch Lomond National Park and Highland Scotch Whisky Distillery Group Day Tour is designed to give you a fantastic over view of Scotland, all packed into one beautiful day.
After departing Edinburgh you’ll start your guided tour by travelling to Stirling Castle and having a historic Highland Castle experience as you get the chance to explore one of the most iconic castles in Scotland, with connections to Mary Queen of Scots, King Robert the Bruce (Netflix’s Outlaw King), Willaim Wallace (Braveheart) Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobite uprising (Outlander) , this is a Castle experience you’ll remember.
From Stirling Castle, your tour guide will then whisk you over to the “bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond” where you’ll get out for a gorgeous short hike on the banks of this romantic Loch. You’ll hear all about local legends along with the history, wildlife and culture of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
After hiking the banks of Loch Lomond, we’re sure you’ll be thirsty so let’s get you over to Glengoyne Distillery where you’ll get the opportunity to tour and find out all about the whisky making process and discover how they create the famous “water of life” you’ll even get the chance to taste a delicious dram or two
Your guide will then escort you over to The Kelpies, in Falkirk. These mythical creatures are prevalent in Scottish waters and depending on what you believe can cause a lot of havoc to unsuspecting locals.
So after a wonderful day of Castles, gorgeous Highland landscapes, whisky and local legend, your guide will travel back towards Edinburgh and drop you back to enjoy the rest of your time in Scotland.
Your Stirling Castle, Kelpies, Loch Lomond and Whisky Distillery Tour may be completed in reverse.
Arrive back in Edinburgh at around 6pm.

As the weather can be unpredictable at time in Scotland, for your day tour we recommend you bring light waterproof clothing and sturdy hiking boots or shoes. You may also want to bring midge repellent as during certain times of year (primarily April - September) the midges may irritate you. If you’re lucky enough to get a nice sunny day, then some sun cream would be great. If it’s during the colder months, then some warm clothing, gloves and a hat may also be useful.

There is no parking near the start location of your Loch Ness and Highlands of Scotland Group Day Tour from Edinburgh
We recommend not bringing a car as it can be difficult to get parking in Edinburgh. There are private parking facilities in Edinburgh that fill up quickly and there is some on street parking, all have a charge. Best way to get around Edinburgh is on foot or public transport
Why are the Scotch Distillery Tour and Stirling Castle Visit, entry fees not included in the day tour price?
We don’t include the price of entry for Distilleries as it allows you the flexibility to travel as you enjoy. At some distilleries there’s the option which tours to enjoy and the quantity of whisky provided depending on what you’re comfortable paying. We’ve found that clients enjoy different quantities of whisky and different tour options.
How long will I be out the vehicle?
On your Stirling Castle, Kelpies, Loch Lomond National Park & Highland Scotch Whisky Distillery Group Day Tour we get you out of the vehicle as much as we can to enjoy some hiking in the Highlands of Scotland, Tour a Highland Scotch Whiskey Distillery, visit Stirling Castle Castle and see the mythical Kelpies. You’ll also be out of the vehicle as you explore the landscape, have lunch and take photos of the scenic Highlands of Scotland
Do you have any age restrictions?
For our Stirling Castle, Kelpies, Loch Lomond National Park & Highland Scotch Whisky Distillery Group Day, we have a minimum age limit of 18 years old.

What’s your Day Tour Cancellation Policy?
Any cancellation for our Stirling Castle, Kelpies, Loch Lomond National Park & Highland Scotch Whisky Distillery Group Day, 8 or more days before the tour start day, you will be issued a full refund
Cancelling between 4 and 7 days before the tour start date you will be issued a 50% refund and cancelling within 3 days of the tour, full payment is taken.
