Begin your journey with a scenic drive departing from Balloch, crossing over the iconic River Clyde. This historic river, central to Glasgow’s industrial heritage, offers breathtaking views of the Clyde Estuary where fresh and saltwater meet. If the weather is clear, you may catch a glimpse of Dumbarton Castle, a historic stronghold tied to figures such as William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and Mary Queen of Scots.
Next, travel through the picturesque landscapes of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and arrive at the quaint village of Luss. Nestled along the shores of Loch Lomond, Luss boasts stunning views and charming cottages. Take in the beauty of the Highland Fault Line, a geological marvel formed over 400 million years ago.
Stop 2: Inveraray Castle
Journey onwards to Inveraray Castle, a magnificent example of Scottish architecture located on the shores of Loch Fyne. Following your castle visit, travel along the scenic shores of Loch Fyne, Scotland's longest saltwater loch. Keep an eye out for seals and other marine life as you make your way to Kilmartin Glen. What should I bring on the Day Tour?
As the weather can be unpredictable at time in Scotland, for your day tour we recommend you bring light waterproof clothing and sturdy hiking boots or shoes. You may also want to bring midge repellent as during certain times of year (primarily April - September) the midges may irritate you. If you’re lucky enough to get a nice sunny day, then some sun cream would be great. If it’s during the colder months, then some warm clothing, gloves and a hat may also be useful.

Should I bring Lunch?
There will be no need to bring any lunch as you’ll be able to get some lunch at Inveraray Castle.
Can I take luggage with me?
On your Standing Stones, Inveraray Castle & Highlands of Scotland Day Tour, there is space for everyone to have a rucksack or handbag so you can carry your essentials. If you have a suitcase or any form of larger luggage, then do get in touch before booking to find out if we still have space to store it during your trip.
Will there be plenty of bathroom breaks?
During your tour there are plenty of locations to stop and use the facilities.
Should I tip my Tour Guide?
If you believe your guide provided you with a great experience then I know they will always appreciate a wee bonus, though it is completely up to you on how much that may be or if you’d like to provide one
What’s your Day Tour Cancellation Policy?
Any cancellation for our Standing Stones, Inveraray Castle & Highlands of Scotland Day Tour, 8 days or more before the tour start day, you will be issued a full refund.
Cancelling between 4 and 7 days before the tour start date you will be issued a 50% refund and cancelling within 3 days of the tour, full payment is taken.
